Hi!

My name’s Roberta, and I’m the human behind Pinpoint Transcription Services.

I’m a bilingual linguistics and translation graduate, and I have an unparalleled passion for language and its intricacies. I’m also a fast and accurate typist who enjoys learning and research. This synergistic union of natural skills and personal tendencies are at the service of your transcription needs!

In early April 2020, I completed Shaughnessy’s Transcribe Anywhere General Transcription training, which is endorsed by the American Association of Electronic Reporters and Transcribers, and I launched my transcription business.

I can provide quality, clean, and well-formatted transcripts in a variety of file formats including plain text, Word, and Google Docs, complete with speaker labels. I can also accommodate most requests in terms of formatting and editing preferences, including timestamps, if required.

I use my research skills to solve audio puzzles and unfamiliar information, but I also communicate quickly if there are questions that simply can’t be answered on my own. I love podcasts of all kinds, interviews, seminars, and background work on a variety of topics including arts, science, spirituality, business and more, but I’m open to transcribing just about anything.

Both Standard or Strict Verbatim formats are available. Standard Verbatim involves some light editing, like getting rid of filler words (uh, um, etc.) and false starts (“I think I’m… well, he was”) and a few other idiosyncrasies that can make the transcript smoother to read. When Strict Verbatim is required, every single utterance is recorded in the transcript.
